Our Vision

People transformed by the Gospel who are devoted to the Triune God and his Kingdom.

What is the Kingdom?

The Kingdom of God is God’s rule over all things. We believe the Gospel has something to say about every aspect of life (not just Sunday mornings in church) and that God is active in redeeming this world for his own glory.

Our Core Value

We only have one core value—the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This means that we live in the freedom of the Gospel and sacrificially follow God in the following areas:

Worship — the weekly gathering of the Church for the corporate worship of the Triune God.

Discipleship — learning together from the Triune God through his Word and how to grow in our love, knowledge, and following of Jesus.

Community — sacrificially living for each other in the Church and also for the life and welfare of Greenville and all the places God has called us to be.

What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is God’s on-going rescue mission to redeem humanity and the world through his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the long promised redeemer, the one who laid down his life for the sins of his people and was raised from the dead by God the Father, being the first fruits of the redemption of his people and the world. This Gospel is not just the story of the Bible, it is the story of the world.

Our mission

Gather people to Christ

Grow disciples in Christ

Send forth disciples in Christ

What is a disciple?

A disciple is a follower of Jesus who, by grace and by choice, is learning from Jesus how to live.

By grace—God calls his people to himself and grows us through his Holy Spirit. We are disciples by God’s act of salvation (justification) and his continued work on our lives (sanctification, adoption, perseverance).

By choice—we respond to God’s call and freely give our lives to him, i.e., “take up your cross and follow me.”

A disciple is not an admirer or a fan of Jesus and discipleship is not a casual thing. When we speak of being a disciple or discipleship we mean nothing less than centering the entirety of our being on Jesus Christ.
